According to the United Nations(UN), 25th November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women.
Ivan Gazidis, AC Milan’s CEO, revealed in a statement that," A global Club like AC Milan undoubtedly has the responsibility to contribute in driving positive social change and being a good corporate citizen means taking a stance on the big social issues, but also to take action. This principle guides our RespAct Manifesto, which has inspired the initiative in collaboration with Pangea: guaranteeing a safer future for ten young Afghan women and their families."
In such a way, the Italian Club AC Milan is committed to offering support to Afghan women who are living as refugees in Italy.
According to official reports from AC Milan, the team has announced total commitment to aiding the integration process of 10 Afghan refugees in Italy, together with Fondazione Pangea Onlus,a non-profit organization that has been working since 2002 to promote the economic and social development of women, their families and surrounding communities located in Milano.
