Brighton produced a stunning performance to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory over Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday. Arsenal began the match with confidence, but their momentum was quickly neutralized as Brighton took control of the midfield.
In the 51st minute, Brighton took the lead as Julio Enciso scored from close range after receiving a pass from Pervis Estupinan. Arsenal attempted to mount a comeback but were thwarted by Brighton's well-organized defense.
Brighton doubled their lead in the 86th minute through Deniz Undav, who received a pass from Pascal Gross and smashed the ball past Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. Just moments before the final whistle, Brighton's Estupinan added a third goal with a superb strike from outside the box in stoppage time.
The result leaves Arsenal in second place with 81 points, while Brighton remains in sixth place with 58 points. Brighton's manager, Roberto De Zerbi , praised his team's performance, saying that they were "fantastic from start to finish."
Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, expressed his disappointment, admitting that his team "were not good enough." Arteta stated that his team would analyze the match and "work hard to come back stronger."
Brighton's next match is against Liverpool, while Arsenal will take on Tottenham in the North London derby.
